Goth Meetup Nights

I noticed there's a lot of new people, such as myself that are new to Vancouver/the scene here.  Would anyone be interested in doing regular meet-ups nights at a coffeehouse or somesuch?  I know the goth meetups they had here are pretty much defunct...who wants to revive them?

hey, if you guys are doing this tomorrow (sat 5th) then I can't go, but if you do it again let me know. I've lived in vancouver all my life and I go to all the clubs, but I do still want to meet MORE people, plus I could let you know about which clubs to go to, which ones suck and other etc...

Just sticking my nose in...

Taf's Café on Granville (1/2 block south of Robson) has been a favorite meeting spot for artsy-types and 'freaks' for the better part of 2 decades.  It's close to Skytrain, has a decent amount of seating, and serves food and liquor as well as coffee (the food is actually quite good).  The artwork changes frequently, but usually there is something cool to look at in there as well (otherwise the decor is nothing to write home about, but it's a lot Gothier than say, Denny's).  Plus the regular server, Steven (tall, late 30's, short dark hair), is totally nice.  Just a suggestion.

Didnt get to scope out any today. Reschedual for next week and I can have a good look around Gastown? Seems to be plenty there.

Ooh, sounds groovy.  I am waaay out in Maple Ridge, so I dunno how I would get out there, but I will surely try.  ^__^

Yah, cool idea.  As far as downtown venues, DV8's dead, right?  Subeez is good, too. Lots of booze, but it's not a bar so all ages are welcome. Plus they have hoegaarden.

mmmmm....hoegaarden....

Me thinks some where Downtown would be good... as to where... I'm not all that familiar with the coffe shops and such. I guess it really depends on every one's location.
