A judge in California has ruled that a law signed into effect last year making partial birth abortions illegal, is unconstitutional.

The procedure is most commonly done when the baby is detected to either not have a brain, or a brain being developed outside of the head.

The procedure induces labour, when the head is birthed an incition is made in the back of the head and the skull is collapsed. This procedure is done in the 3rd tri-mester.
