Did anyone else get a chance to watch the masterpiece from Fritz Lang "Metropolis" on TCM on Sunday?

What a remarkable film! Lang's incredible vision, a thrilling story line; a wonderful job of restoration, and the original UFA score was used in the restoration.  It also has, imho, the best ending line of any film I have ever seen -

"There can be no understanding between the hand and the brain unless the heart acts as mediator"

I especially enjoyed Brigitte Helm's preformance as the man-machine/maria/the seven deadly sins.

I will definitely add this one to my dvd collection!

I've been a fan of Metropolis for many years. On occasion I refer to the apartment block I live in as "Rotwang's Lab" as it is a century-old four-storey brick building entirely surrounded by 20, 40, and soon, 60 storey buildings.

I saw this particular restoration at the Pacific Cinémathèque when it was first released, and I agree. This is by far the best restoration to date.
