Distribution ideas

Now I know how much everyone loves eBay, but frankly I just don't trust them.  I have heard more bad stories than good from close friends who have bought things this way, and gotten screwed.  There's just something about the lack of professional backing/accountability  and quality control that makes me think it's all a bit dodgy.

*BUT* I've been shopping around for cheap and easy ways of making my artwork available to people who can't afford $500 + for original art.  Granted, I don't have gobs of cash floating around to sink into getting 100 posters printed (or more), and then risking never selling them.  So with this in mind I've been using a couple of services that make things a bit easier.  These guys produce your products for you on demand, not by the bulkload.  They do all the manufacturing, all the money handling, all the packaging and shipping - all you do is create and upload the artwork.

And yes, I have thouroughly read their copyright/intellectual rights user agreements and as far as I can tell they check out ok.  I've been using one service since 2001 and I've even ordered my own stuff to check its quality, and these guys are pretty damn good!  If you want to see what I'm talking about, you can visit my shop at CafePress.com and my latest experiment at Zazzle.com.  CafePress has a better variety of things you can make, but Zazzle seems to be more sophisticated in the printed poster department.
