Funny Stuff!

A friend sent me this link a while back and it made me laugh til there were tears in my eyes, so assuming there are people with similar senses of humour out there, here you go...

I think my favourite one on there is the "Mexican Shrimp-Orange Salad".  Creepy ceramic animals gathering 'round their magical pond.  ^_^

Perhaps the whole idea was to encourage bolimia.  Not that I in anyway support bulimia, but it might have been a popular method of weight control in the 70s and 80s.

I knew you would get a kick out of that, Swoop...

And since you did, you will probably also like [url=http://www.thesneeze.com/mt-archives/cat_steve_dont_eat_it.p..., Don't Eat It!.  One man, so many disturbing foods.  Steve, Don't Eat It! makes me laugh and laugh...

As to the Mackerel question:  is Fluffy Mackerel Pudding or any of those other Mackerel monstrousities (note the alliteration) even nutritionally sound?  Does eating Snacks on a Stick or Liver Pate en Masque help you lose weight?  Maybe it just makes you so sick that you can't eat anymore...  Hmm, interesting.

Mackerelly!  *snort*  OMG!  It's Mackerific!

My main question... Why were these guys so obsessed with Mackerel?  Was there a surplus of Mackerel at this point in history?  Did the Weight Watchers people have stock in Mackerel?
