Saturday February 24th 2007 10am - 1pm

The Darker Side of  Drilling

Learn to fine tune your belly  dance technique, while learning how to incorporate a dramatic, darker  side in your dance.  In Ariellah's workshop, you will fine tune,  drill, and discuss chest isolations, pops, locks and snake-like Gothic  belly dance arm movements.  Students will learn a short choreography,  which will incorporate these techniques.  Students will also be  encouraged to stylize their movements.  Reinforcing fundamentals  will bring strength and fluidity to the student's movements and elevate  their dance.

Sunday February 25th 2007 10am - 1pm

Strengthening Your  Core

Ariellah's workshop will  focus on strengthening the core of the dancer's body.  Building  strength in the legs, abs, chest and arms will enhance the dancer's  fluidity.  Strength also allows the dancer to execute difficult  movements in a healthy way; a way that is not harmful or damaging to  the body.  The workshop will include stretching and strengthening  exercises, as well as execution of certain strenuous movements such  as back bends, and then a short choreography or combination that incorporates  these movements.

Bring a yoga mat and water.
