Comic characters inspire our imagination and their stories provide entertainment as well as influence how we tackle difficult situations. Who is your favourite character? Hero, villian, or antihero? On April 24th we will be having a cosplay event focused on comic book characters. Show us your skills by creating your outfit based on your favourite character then show your moves on the dance floor as we deliver the best mix of Goth, Industrial, and EBM in the city of Vancouver.

Comic Cosplay Dress Code

Descent Sundays boasts an exclusively nonexistent dress code. "Why?" you ask. Well, it's simple: We want everyone who comes to our events to be comfortable. Jeans and a tshirt? No problem. Full out Goth? Totally acceptable. Punk kid? Rock god? Sk8tr girl? Awesome. Sweet. Wicked. Feel like going all out in some jaw dropping ensemble? You're totally welcome to. Come how you want to but we are strongly encouraging everyone to dress up as their favourite comic book character and enter our costume contest.

Comic Cosplay Costume Contest

We will be hosting a costume contest for this event. The winners will take home some fabulous prizes from some of our sponsors including The Fall Tattooing & Artist's Gallery. We will also have some prizes from One Stop Shop, Vancouver's best gaming store.
All those participating in the costume contest will register at the door and receive a number to wear around their neck. Attendants will be able to vote for their favourite costume by number. Voting will close at 11:50pm and we will tally the votes and announce the winner by midnight.
