There are lots of different practices that are referred to as meditation.  I'm going to deal with two approaches you can try.  If you've never meditated before, you might want to begin with the first one.

The Eightfold Path is a Buddhist way of dealing with things.  It operates on a

'Don't take my word for it, test it out for yourself' sort of approach.

One of the  most basic teachings which you'll find in all three main schools of Buddhism (Theravada, Zen and Tibetan) is the Four Noble Truths.  This was the Buddha's first discourse. 

#1: Life is hard to bear (Dukkha)...we all go through it in this world; humans, animals, formless beings...all of us.

i was just wondering if you think that the "goth" genre of music is the music of "goths" . .... i mean i've run into some zealot goth pride folk who think anything not "goth" makes you a poser goth.....i mself stay away from labels but i mean when i've talked about some of my 70's punk rock bands i love they let lose ....

i think this belongs in the fashion section......it has to do with my hair :B im going for the cruella deville look (half white half black) and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good white dye/bleach that wouldn't kill my hair or turn out yellow or cost me hella lot  that or a cool salon anything really im desperate to change my hair thanx , au revoir mes amis :P
